The Berger-Marks Foundation accepted grant applications from January through March 15, 2012, from organizations that are not unions but also promote workers' rights and have an impact on social justice.
The Foundation will assist such organizations with training, conferences and educational materials for women, with special consideration given to programs aimed at younger women workers.
Note: Unions, union federations, and councils should instead apply for our second type of grant, explained below:
The Foundation is accepting grant applications anytime throughout the year from unions, union councils and union federations.
We fund programs, projects and organizing campaigns that will benefit, promote and develop women — particularly younger women — in the labor movement.
(The forms open in a separate window.)
Details on what the Foundation is looking for can be found on each application form.
Note to all applicants: This website will carry general notices of all approved grants. While we welcome all proposals, we regret that we cannot fund all worthwhile projects. Although we wish we could approve more applications, our grant categories have annual financial limits.
